If UF goes 7-6 next season, it will be considered the resurgence of the Gators. Given the state of their offense. UT goes 7-6 this past season, and it's "Butch Jones is a failure", "Tennessee fans are delusional", "Mark Richt has lost control. ....".
You cannot deny that this board's worst nightmare is a good Tennessee football team.

Meh, I actually don't mind UT getting better. The East being down so much just sucks.
If Coach Mac wins 7 games with this roster it'll be a miracle though. The offensive side of the ball is a complete mess.

Gator recruiting sucks at least now, but that could be the effects of Boom moving on to a competitive program.

If Florida goes 7-6 next year I will certainly be laughing at them. They hire a legitimate Saban disciple as HC and he runs them into the ground.
So they go out and hire another one.
And I'm praying that UT gets to the point where they're more than another bye week for UA.

You're in the minority on this board. Even though a strong Tennessee benefits LSU and Auburn.

For years we were dealing with Meyer annually while Bama drew Kiffin and Dooley.
Florida is shite right now and McElwain is a hilariously bad hire. All that's left is for Bert's freshmen to grow up.

I think you are way off on your assessment of McElwain, but we will see in coming years. So far he is doing everything right and has re-energized the fanbase to a level we haven't seen since Meyer was hired.

Pretty sure people said the same thing about Muschamp when he was hired. Something about rebuilding the program "the right way" and dismissing Janoris Jenkins.
No matter how he does, are you telling me the 2nd wealthiest program in the conference in the most talent-rich state in the country can't do better than Alabama' OC?
Nobody at LSU is doing backflips over the Steele hire despite positive early reports.

The feeling around the program is much different then when Muschamp was hired, and having the fans behind you goes a long way. Muschamp was not an overly popular hire.
He hasn't been the Alabama OC in 4 years.

Florida's program history consists of a little over 10 relevant years with Spurrier and a one night stand with Urban Meyer. Outside of that, Florida is no different from the MSUs and Kentuckys of the world.
frick! What is it going to take for the Cocks to get a little love around here?!?!

I thought it sounded better than the HC from Colorado State.

They're pretty weak relative to other teams in the conference.
Not according to Boom.

“They’ve got a deep and talented roster, so don’t let that new guy tell you he ain’t got any players,” Muschamp said. “I can tell you that right now. There are some good football players in that locker room.”
Code-schpeak for "Boom wantin' to revenge frick-the Gators come .... wait, errrr, does UF and Auburn even play one another anymore? Didn't that used to be a pretty good rivalry game?

Reading must have been optional in a lot of schools some of you pickleheads attended. If you read the statements.."we are low in numbers in several areas" he is not saying the Gators are going to be bad...simply that OL & LB is not what it should be.
OL: this started when Meyer was coach and after the great class of OL signed in 2009 we then proceeded to ignore the position and recruit 2 OL a year in 2010-2013 This past class signed in Feb is a start in the right direction...but we will play catchup for OL for three more years. The position takes the longest to mature and injuries take their toll. We have one of our most experienced OL sitting out of spring because of recurring shoulder problems. It happens.
We signed ZERO LB this past Feb and although we have some good talent...its 4 LBs and we will lose two of them after this year.
It doesn't mean we will be 5-7 as some of you would like us to be. We need qb play and better wr coaching ( we will now have it )...what you don't realize is that our DL & secondary are fat and we have talent at RB....don't play @ Tuscaloosa and may surprise....will we? I don't know. We could be a 6-6 team but could be a 10-2 team also.

Not having depth at OL and LB isnt why you'll have another shite season.
Replacing one laughingstock of a coach with another laughingstock of a coach is why you'll have a shite season.

Yea. You're right. Mizzou and USCe being the only two teams with double digit wins sounds like a real meat grinder.
