Wait...so business people actually conduct business with people they know and trust? Shocking. Almost every community bank board is similar. Nobody in the Alabama media cared when Bobby Lowder stacked the Colonial Board with people in his network.

This is such a farce and proves that the whole #FREEUAB fad is simply a passive aggressive way to take swings at UA.

Why would anyone do buisness with a total stranger or some random banker on the street corner?

In all fairness to Auburn, through a long and painful public process, we fixed our board of trustees issue. I know there's not a lot of rational conversation on the SECr anymore, but UA needs to address their board issues in regards to UAB.

This is part of the reason Auburn was put on academic probation a few years ago. Because one person had too much control over the university. Alabama meeting a similar fate would require somebody at Alabama contacting SACS to complain to them like people at Auburn did. That is not going to happen.

Everybody knows Bama is controlled by the baby bear and everybody also knows he is as crooked as a dog's hind leg. The fact that nobody at Alabama speaks out agains him really shows how corrupt the entire school is

Not really, Auburn had the exact same corrupt set up with the BoT. It took public pressure and litigation for them to even consider cleaning up.

I also do not think the students who started FreeUAB wanted to take swings at UA -- they just wanted their programs back and do not trust the UAB President.

Honestly, UAB wants the President gone... the Board of Trustees are the only ones who can do that. Finebaum said the other day that he thought the board would eventually tell him to step down once the heat dies down, once the lightning rod is gone, I think you will see a lot less focus on UA BoT.

I only go by what I know and trust. and I know and trust that 13-1 is greater than 12-1 so LSU is the 2011 National Champions

Wait?

Did you just say that?

You're joking, right?

Bobby Lowder was pictured as Darth fricking Vader in the Bama (and ultimately in the national) media from the 1980's through the mid-2000's.

You must have been drunk then.
