Yeah, no one would want Martin for his antics about like no one would want Pearl. Please.

Johnny Jones was 3 games above .500 in conference in his entire 11 year North Texas head coach stint. He made the NCAAT twice and lost in the first round both times. LSU hired him after back to back 4th place Sun Belt teams with double digit losses, neither of which made any kind of postseason (NIT, CBI).

He was awful, how or why LSU ended up hiring him, is a complete mystery to me. Is it really a shocker that everyone in the SEC thinks he's a bad coach? He is. For your sake I hope he can't possibly frick up the talent coming in and can at least manage an NCAAT win or two before they leave.

Why do you care so much about LSU's basketball coach? We appreciate all the interest.

JJ is right where Mike Anderson was in year 3 as well when everyone was calling him a bad coach...when next season will easily be his best team, kind of like this year (year 4) is easily Mike Anderson's best team. Probably a little early to pull out complete judgement. Funny enough, if LSU wins this weekend Mike Anderson will also be 1-3 vs. Johnny Jones.
