a true home and home
a neutral site game outside of the south
LSU plays at Cuse, at Lambeau Wisconsin, home and home with Texas, home and home with UCLA, home and home with Arizona St
Bama refuses to play anything outside of Atlanta and Arlington and canceled Michigan St home and home.

They can't ask all their fans to put a third mortgage on their trailers to afford plane tickets.

I honestly believe the big teams don't want a loss to open the seasom

We played a home and home with Penn State in 2010-2011, a mere 3 years ago.
How many power 5 away games has LSU played in that span? 1. Just like us.

This would have meant something in the late-90s.

Simple. If you're Oregon, USC, Oklahoma, etc. why would you risk your entire season playing Bama opening day knowing you will probably lose?

In the 2000s I remember Alabama playing Oklahoma, UCLA, Penn St, Clemson, Virginia Tech, Michigan just off the top of my head and I'm not a Bama fan looks alright to me.

Or in basketball, if LSU was back.

At Washington and at West Virginia.
Neutral sites:
North Carolina in Atl, Oregon in Dallas, TCU in Dallas, Wisconsin in Houston.
(At Syracuse this year, Wisconsin at Lambeau next year.)

That's like only slightly more intimidating than playing at Sam Houston State.

Unless you're travelling back in time to play them in 1998 when McNabb was the QB, nobody is impressed with this.
playing at Cuse

Syracuse may not be a national power, but how many other SEC teams have traveled up there to play a regular season game ???
FTM, How many SEC teams have ever traveled to Seattle to play Washington ??? Or Wisconsin at Lambeau Field ???
But actually, Bama has played some good OOC games in the last decade - UCLA, Penn State, Clemson, West Virginia, Tulane (j/k). I know I'm forgetting some.
This is what I try to get across to those Yankee and Left Coast buffoons on that national site - the SEC has played some very good OOC games in the last decade. In some cases, we play two in one year (e.g. WVU and Oregon in 2011)....
Plus we have upcoming series against the afore-mentioned UCLA, Texas, and Ariz State; but I know we're not the only SEC team playing good OOC games.
