It pisses me off to see a lot of our fans that I talk to every day criticize our team for how this season has gone.

We lost 4 seniors, who were primarily responsible for 3 straight Elite 8s and 1 Final 4 appearance.

We're down 2 wings, Francis (academics) and Walker (ACL). After winning 30 straight games, there is no reason for ANY Gator basketball fan to be pissed off at how this season has gone.

We are not UK in basketball. We never will be. I get the feeling many of our fans feel like an Elite 8 is guaranteed every year and have no clue about ANY Gator basketball history prior to winning back to back titles.

So yes its frustrating. Our young team cant close games and is very inexperienced. DWI. They will get better, and next year will show that.

I really didn't have an expectation for this year because of what you just said the loss of our entire starting lineup. I agree we are young and cant close out games. The thing that frustrates me the most is the way we have assembled the team. Because we have had players that stuck around so long we have really hurt our chances of building a contender. Its really no fault of Donovan he cant force players to leave so instead of getting a chance to build a team through recruiting we have had to rely on transfers to fill our voids. The other thing that frustrates me is the play of Walker and Hill both were five stars and they just aren't living up to their hype especially Walker. I understand they are young we have held double digit leads in about half of our losses and the majority of the time we are holding that lead at some point in the second half. We have lost 6 games by 2 points or less some of those loses are just plain bad luck, some of them due to inexperience. Will it get better yes, next year maybe. I do think we will need about 2 years to recover from losing all those seniors.

Agreed.

Even the blue bloods have rebuilding years. Anyone who hates on Donovan or this team is a damn fool.

I'm not worried about it. Really expected it tbh. This team is just too inexperienced playing together and nobody has a dominant personality for scoring.

EDIT: The one thing that has me not giving up on this team is they haven't quit yet. I won't quit watching until they quit. No matter how many yrs it takes off my life.

Agreed, nothing to panic about, rebuilding. If we want to bitch, lets agree to bitch about the last 2 years of football.

Chiozza better be the starting point guard next year. Hill had more turnovers than points and bricked 2 free throws at the end of the game.
