I really want my teams to play aggressively, and that is what we're going to do. We're going to try and guard somebody, I don't want it to be 48-45, I don't want that. I want our guys to push the basketball. I want them to play with pace but be efficient, that to me is the key, fundamentally sound, don't make stupid mistakes

Yup, KA has had to go back on basically everything he said when he got here. I also find it funny that he is going after transfers now when he denounced them when he was first hired.

I think he's feeling the crunch. Had this season gone better he probably wouldn't be going the JUCO/transfer route, but this team is awful in just about every phase. We need some immediate help.
Things aren't looking very good. That's for sure.

Oh, all these damned numbers. Our coach was a good player 40 years ago...and he's pretty tall.
Doesn't that count for something, too?

You can get $.20 off a cup of coffee at the Petro Mart at Lake of the Woods exit if you recite Kim's height, the year he was all Big 8 and present your coupon.

He probably denounced building a team around transfers. You can't do that.

If we don't build our offense around a couple of transfers next year, he'd better have his retirement plan set.

Making $1m / year right now has to be pretty sweet for his retirement planning. I would have a smile on my face if I made that much.
$1m per conf win is one hell of a paycheck. If he wins 2 games this year (not likely), then his paycheck/win ratio is effectively halved. He is just being efficient.
post script: don't take me seriously...I'm just trying to find some humor in a gloomy season.

Hopefully there will be lessons learned from this year's experience. He better have a better plan and be better prepared for the start of the season next year.

Yea man this team is riddled with talent! I mean we returned almost 15 ppg from last season!
Haith would have had conference wrapped up by now... that's why he left?
Nobody wanted this job for a reason

1) plenty of people would've taken this job. Jamie Dixon, Larry Eustachy, Ben Howland, Mike White, Tyndall, and any other number of mid major coaches or P5 assistants. We eliminated them, not vice versa.
2) There's talent on this team. It's young talent. And no one expected us to finish even in the upper half of the conference. But we shouldn't accept the worst Tiger performance over a year in over 50 years so casually as "it's all Haith's fault." Some of it is obviously Haith's fault. Some of it is obviously a young team. Some of it obviously falls upon Anderson's shoulders.

Dude, can't disagree with anything you just wrote.

Michael White withdrew his own name to coach at LA Tech over us, Haith went to Tulsa..... Ben Howland isn't coaching at all. Missouri basketball isn't a good job.

Mike White withdrew his name when it was clear he wasn't getting the job.
There's plenty of P5 teams that are worse jobs than Mizzou. We will pay for the right coach (we offered a truckload of cash to Marshall), we have a great arena, we have a great revenue stream from SEC cash and a state with plenty of talent.
Pretending this job isnt attractive is something we've done to excuse the horrible hires Alden has made. But there's no excuse for them.
