It works for Alabama because the women's program doesn't have a large following and Foster Auditorium is small. It's also newly renovated and a historical site. So it gives the ladies an arena and keeps an important Civil Rights era building up-to-date.

Not to mention it gives purpose to Foster Auditorium. The building served 0 real purpose, until the women s basketball was put there.

The University has wanted to raze it to put something else there, but hasn't due to its historical notoriety.
