Does Missouri have the staying power?

Who thinks Missouri will continue to be on top of the SECE. They really did luck into the SECE at the perfect time.
There recruiting is not and will not be on par with the bigger name schools. Just not gonna happen.
Pinkel is obviously a great coach. To do what he has done with the overall talent he has to work with is really impressive but I think they will come back to reality very soon. At some point superior athletes will win out.

Or they're winning and Tenn, UGA, and UF suck.

Kinda making my point. Those teams or at least a couple of them will be back to where they traditionally are at some point soon.

I do. They won't always be at the top; but they'll be there more times than they aren't.

It doesn't have to be.

Pinkel is a great coach.
That is reality.
So there's no alternate reality to come.
Time will tell.

I think because of Pinkel, Mizzou will always be a tough out and in contention.

I guess Ill worry about it when Tennessee finally beats Mizzou in SEC play.
"This is the year" says every Tennessee fan every year....

I actually agree ... I like Pinkel a lot. He's a helluva coach who is lessened, overall, by his gay fricking homo fan base. Were it not for them they would compete every year.
Not all mizzourites mind you, but most of them. They cannot help their insecure selves.
Those that protest will be obvious in this thread. Just watch ...

I will not doubt Mizzou again until they give me a reason to do so. I think they will be in the hunt this year and continue to be a consistent contender. I do see things shifting though with what UT is doing. If Butch can coach em up and put it together then they're going to be hard to beat. I think UF is going to be fine and back to form in a year or two and UGA will continue to have a big say on what goes down in the East. The East race is going to be interesting

I know which couple my money is on.

Since 2007
Mizzou is Top 10 in the nation in wins and Top 5 in 1st Round NFL Draft Picks
Maybe you should stop listening to recruiting web sites?

Pinkel has another 5 or 10 good years left. After that Mizzou's facilities will be about avg in the SEC east. They have a medium sized state with 2 metropolitan areas all to themselves. They should stay competitive assuming they stay committed to football.
I don't expect domination. I do expect them to have very good years every once in a while.

Bet Pinkel remembered to recruit olinemen, unlike Dooley

I really wasn't trying to down grade Missouri. Just stating the fact that they came into the SEC at the perfect time and managed to win the SECE 2 years in a row. That will be a tough feat to duplicate.
They will be a tough opponent every year and they have certainly earned respect.
Pinkel might be the most overlooked head coach in college football.

You have, at no point since we've joined the SEC, had superior athletes. Keep stroking recruiting rankings though, because that's all you currently have.
Oh, and....3-0

Surely you understand that those class rankings meant nothing because Dooley recruits mostly never made an impact. His recruits left the program, got kicked out, ect.....
The talent Butch is bringing in is elite level

Delusional.
Have y'all even beat them? all those 4 and 5 star ballers need to show it on the field, Rocky Top.
