Agreed, all of the ones today are too bland. I loved hearing Skip say "we're in the bottom of another fifth" even though it was the 6th inning when the braves were getting shellacked back in the day.

Fyffe. He will always be a legend. He brought us TOUCHDOWN AUBURN.

I love Bramblett and that he has continued that tradition but he will never be Jim Fyffe.

I loved Mike Patrick and Todd Blackledge when they did the majority of Auburn home games on Saturday nights for ESPN prime time. I feel like Blackledge ate at every possible restaurant in Auburn during that time for his taste of the town segment.

In baseball I loved listening to Jon Miller and Joe Morgan call Sunday Night baseball.

Gus Johnson is about as good as it gets in college hoops. That's where he's at his best.

As I get older I really respect Larry Munson. A great homer of an announcer.

Stepped on their face w/ A hobnail boot and broke their nose

Harey Carey is one of my faves also. Grew up with the TV on WGN not TBS.

Exactly. I don't know how many of the posters on this board were even alive, much less are able to remember, the days when the Bravos were losing 90+ games a season.

There was one game (or possibly more) where we were down by 5 or 6 in the late innings, and Skip announces, "If you promise to support our sponsors you have our permission to turn off the game and go walk the dog..."

Back in the dark ages, before every game in America was on TV, radio stations would have a "pick of Dixie" game of the week.

I would tune in my am radio and listen to the game broadcast. I especially liked Munson as he made you feel like you were right there. He is my favorite.
