LSU and Auburn fans can't tell us how evil Saban is over there.
Why don't you like fun?

Maybe if your coaching staff figured out how to recruit like Saban you might actually not be irrelevant in the conference. Wait........... what am I saying it is Arkansas that were talking about.

Call me when Nicky doesn't embarrass the conference

That is the single dumbest thing I've seen on this board.

Call me when Bert has more wins in the SEC than Saban has national titles

Great write up. But, a little off the mark and somewhat disingenuous. After reading this, it would seem that Saban only recruits choir boys who can play football. For example, if Saban and his crew had vetted Eddie Lacy when he was coming out of high school the way this article dipicts, he wouldn't have likely even been allowed in the state of Alabama, much less been given his "special" scholarship that allowed entry despite his non-qualifying GPA and test scores. But, good for Eddie. He took advantage of the gift granted him and made the most of it. Thanks for posting the article.

Ehhhh...Barfield did a number on yall.
UA is probably the most obnoxious CFB fan base though.

^^^This^^^.
Plus, it was a relief to read that Saban judged talent based on his own actual firsthand observation, rather than on what others had written about the recruit. That's pretty pretty inspiring stuff.

The article seemed like pretty much bullshite to be honest. Tons of exaggeration/"lore" and not actual facts. No doubt Saban and staff are a recruiting juggernaut, though.
ETA: I just realized this is a Bleacher Report "article". Put a warning in the OP next time before you link that garbage.

I really don't give a shite about Alabama's recruiting rankings after seeing how badly Saban's botched the CB and QB positions in recruiting over the past few years. It's pretty pathetic how Bama had to start a RB converted to QB last year because all of Bama's QB recruits from 2010-2012 were misses and weren't good enough to start. People wonder why Alabama's pass coverage is terrible when both of Alabama's starting CBS last year were high school WRs converted to CBs. Instead of recruiting four RBS in 2013, maybe Saban could have recruited a CB that could have been ready to start last year instead of Eddie Jackson. So right now, I don't give a damn about Alabama's "recruiting machine" until I see them on the field.

Sorry, have to call BS on this article since there was no discussion about how Big Nick made the Diamonds run to the top of Mount Everest and return with a leaf to prove they got to the top.
