Hey reedus, my family camps and floats from the Highway K campground every year. The pic of the bridge is very familiar.

That's awesome!!! Rent floats from Jeff? I can't tell you how many rocks I've thrown into the river right there growing up. If you head west from that bridge and then make your 1st right and head back down the hill, their campground used to be at the bottom of the hill on the left. I think they're are a couple of houses down there now.

If you head west from the bridge and make your 2nd right at the top of the hill, it's a driveway that winds back into the woods a bit. That is where my grandparents lived. Used to have 100's of acres back there. They sold it all when my grandpa died and sold the canoes business to Jeff.

MO is very diverse and bigger than you think. I grew-up in the bootheel a couple million years ago. I've chopped and picked cotton. I now live in the Lou 'burbs. I really enjoy the drive north up Hwy 79 from St. Peters to say Hannibal/the IA border. River, bluffs, fields, woods...prettiest part of MO IMHO.
