What is the board's opinion of Heath Evans

Just saw him talking about the Belichick press conference on NFL Network. Seems like a good dude, but doesn't really seem to go back to AU like other former players. Could be because he's still working.

He is always quick to point out he went to Auburn.

I had forgotten about that story.

Makes one wonder what he thought about this past year's team. We as outsiders wondered about discipline and mental toughness. I certainly don't worry about our D players now

How so? What's he been wrong about or what do you disagree with him on?

All I need to know about Heath Evans is his criticism of Cam for going back to school to earn his degree.

I like him a lot. He called out Chizik & staff & was right on point.

I'm talking about NFL, not AU. Just comes across as very self-righteous.

Your OP told us that.

He's always seemed pretty straight forward to me. He keeps it real when discussing AU from what I can tell. Hes always quick to brag about being a tiger. NFL wise, he's a complete Saints & Patriots homer.

He's part of the reason I stopped watching the NFL Network. He's more of a #hottakes guy than he is someone that provides sound commentary
Also, after throwing the players under the bus at the end of the Chiz regime, I doubt the remaining players were willing to welcome him back with open arms. You as the fans may have enjoyed and agreed with him but I doubt the players that he called soft and weak would want to have anything to do with him.

He was in auburn during the lockout a few years ago. I worked at the yogurt store on magnolia at the time and he brought in his little girls frequently. He stayed and we talked for an hour or so one time about the patriots (that's my team), the lockout, winning the Super Bowl with the saints, etc. Really cool guy.

To be fair, none of those takes were really hard to come up with in November of 2012. I know he said "I saw it coming in 2011", but did he say that anywhere in public prior to the beginning of the 2012 dumpster fire of a season?

I vaguely know who Heath Evans is. I have no option on him.
