A head coach that if he is yours you love, if he's not your coach you hate him but have respect for him.
A very passionate fan base, and usually entitled. But know their team is usually good so it's justified sometimes.
Always in the hunt for the championship (or Super Bowl). It's became championship or bust for them lately.
Best talent. Brady may be the greatest NFL QB ever. Alabama hasn't had that level of QB but as a team we have been the most talented.

Both coaches faced the emergence of a gimmicky offense from thier rivals (Wildcat from the dolphins and of course the Gus offense) which actually managed to win a game against them. However look where Steve Spagnuolo is now. Look for Gus to suffer the same fate
