I didn't expect in Year 4 that we would be going nuts over a road win at Georgia.

You guys are right, Hog ball is back and we're elite! We should run the table the rest of the year and won't have any issues once Portis and maybe Qualls leave after this year. Future is bright baby! WPS!

Kentucky better watch out, they have no match for our sick depth. If they think they can hang they obviously haven't seen Durhams NAIA highlights.

Lots of basketball yet to be played this season.
Would be wise to wait till the end of the season to judge mike. But I get it, this place isn't exactly brimming with wisdom.

Year 4. Anything less than a #6 seed in the Tourney is not cutting it.

There's no point in "judging" Mike anyway. He just got extended. We're stuck with him for better or worse.

It would appear the guy in charge of extensions is pleased with the direction our program is going compared to where it's been.
If mike loses out and the team quits school, that will probably change.

Yes. I thought we should be able to beat both of those on the road this year.
Maybe my expectations are a little high for this year.

Ole Miss shot the game of their lives. They were well over 60% on 3 pointers deep into the 2nd half. It was just another game like Iowa State. It's basketball, it happens. Sometimes you run into teams that are just feeling it that night.
Did we make mistakes? Yeah. But when a team shoots 80% from FT and 60% from 3 for the majority of the game, your mistakes are magnified.

we had numerous stretches where we played pretty strong D, but they would jack up up a contested 3 and bank it in. you could see the teams body language dip every time something like that happened, which was often, compounded by not getting any favorable calls and having a pretty off night shooting. it was a total disaster of a game.

does anyone have anything to say considering the press being used over and over to a lack of success...
How many wide open shots or lanes were open continually against good shooters?
Lineup?
Just wanting some of your EXPERT opinions on the above...

Define success.
What/how a press is being used can be for a variety of reasons, more times than not in college basketball it is used as nothing more than to try to control/set/dictate the tempo of the game.
Anderson uses his to speed the game up as a base.
A guy like JTIII uses his press to slow the game down as a base.
In other words you have a team like Oregon rushing to the line and snapping it fast to get the possessions during a game up or you have a team like Auburn rushing to the line and staring at the sidelines in an attempt to limit subs and have a game with an average amount of possessions, to put it in football terms since most here seem to understand that game better than they do basketball...

Any road win in college basketball is significant. Georgia has a better RPI than us too...

I know we better win the next two, if we can't beat Bama at home and a terrible Mizzou team on the road I doubt this team will ever turn the corner.
