I believe this brings Mike's record to 61-7 at Bud Walton.

Our defense could overcome some lack of effort, especially if Mike would make some adjustments. There is no reason for us to repeatedly apply on-ball pressure and go over ball screens 25 feet from the basket ... I mean, it's black and white obvious. This "strategy" repeatedly causes a mismatch or wide open jump shot once the first help defender collapses. I just don't get it. I think Mike is more interested in forcing tempo than getting defensive stops.

Mike is all about pressing to force a fast pace in order to tire out the opponent.

not play defense

I think other teams have figured out how to beat this strategy.

I thought Nolan's teams both pressed AND played D. Nolan would have killed a ref and at least one of our players last night

It's almost like Mike isn't as good as the hall of famer best coach we've ever had.

Mike needs to recruit better. This is year 4 and without Portis we are a below average team. We won't be good enough to make the tourney next year with Portis gone, this year is our only shot.

We haven't had many open spots due to APR. We had to keep guys like Ricky Scott on the team just so he could graduate.

Better hope we make the dance this year because next year's team will be significantly worse.

"Mike needs to recruit better because if the guy he recruited wasn't on the team we would be bad."

I think Portis would have been here no matter who was coach. Bringing in guys like Durham, Miles, Williams etc isn't going to improve our team much. Beard looks promising though but I get the feeling next year which will be Mike's 5th we'll be back in rebuilding mode.

I'd have preferred a coach that doesn't run a gimmick no defense style of play, give me Tim Floyd over MA any day.

I'm a little disappointed as well...
Although Clemson is not a bad team, we should have won that one on the road.
We should have beaten Tennessee on the road.
Not surprised we lost at Iowa State, but we weren't even competitive is what bothered me in that one.
We should have beaten Ole Miss at home.

4 major disappointments.

Still a chance to have a pretty good season, but it could have been better.

Expected a little more this year.

Did you expect to beat SMU and Georgia on the road?

In year 4 absolutely. It just worries me that we are one player away from being a sub .500 team in a terrible basketball conference.

Here's a quote from you after the Georgia game. Doesn't sound like you expected to win.

Any SEC road win is big for our program. I was skeptical till the final whistle, great day to be a Hog.
