The guy who maintains the scoreboards is an independent contractor from B'ham and we kinda became friends this year, talking at nearly every football game. Anyway FWIW yes he said they're going to replace one of the scoreboards with a much bigger one before next season.

Fwiw a second poster confirmed he was aware of the new "huge" jumbo tron going in the South endzone. Would be great to get it in by Aday

Yeah would make no sense to replace existing. We need two screens.

The current screen has some parts that are literally impossible to be replaced due to its age and outdated technology (And the company that supplied it no longer makes the parts...). The new one will be the largest in the country.

New jumbo in same place. Much larger. Other screen close to useless because of what I mentioned above. It will not be moved/repurposed.
