So the National Championship is tonight. But does it really seem like it? There has been a lot of talk about the playoff system and the new process all year but its very quiet right now. Since the bowls were played, the talk about the natty has been very quiet.
Is it just me?

I'm eager to watch it because I love college football.
But you are correct. I haven't noticed the typical hype.

ESPN can't show their SEC bias since no SEC team is in

It just seems like another football game since the SEC doesn't have a dog in the fight.
I sincerely hope Oregon shitstomps the life out of Meyer and his Buckeyes, though.

I believe thanks go out to the state of Alabama for soling the SEC's name the past two seasons. How could you?!

Sometimes we just build you up so that we can bring you down.

For most of the week it has been quiet. They went ape shite talking about it yesterday. I am looking forward to it. Most of the ESPN gum bumpers are taking tOSU. I think they are wrong.

Least hyped National Title game in almost 30 years. Well I'm guessing with that number but holy shite there hasn't been much talk about this game.
I honestly think the lack of an SEC team is bad for the publicity but great for the common fan and anti-SEC fans.
I expect tOSU to be able to run the ball very well and if that happens Oregon will probably be in trouble. But I just don't think tOSU can carry that same attitude and fire they had to against Bama.

i have to be honest, I dont really know who to pull for. For one, who wants to see Ohio State win who is not a OSU fan? Second, there is a small part of me that never wants to see Oregon win a championship. The media love for them is just crazy. But then, Ohio State gets that too.
As much as we hate it, it is probably better for College football as a whole that OSU beat Alabama. its somewhat brings things back to a even keel and gets the discussions back going again.
Lets face it, The SEC West, not just Bama, really shite in its pants in the off season and allowed this to happen. A convincing win by bama and the rest of the division taking care of its business would have just about killed any other discussions.
But that didn't happen

Yep. It was embarrassing. I think it will probably hurt us next year in the polls. (not bama, but everybody else)

It's the same with basketball. All they promote on everything is the Final Four. And then oh yea the national championship thing is 2 days later

Thats a pretty good explanation of what I was getting at. We had tons of talk about the process getting here. Now that we are here, . . . . . .

Having it on a Monday is weird too. It starts 8:30 ET. Way past my bed time

I think a big part of what yall are talking about is just because of a lack of sec teams and you're not seeing the hype as much.
I was on ESPN the other day and they discusses the game for an hour and talked all about shite. I didn't pay much attention because I don't care about the teams but I still think it's there.
I think this is how other regions feel when they are left out of the title game. It's just been so long that we aren't used to it.
I'm in a group message with some buddies from B1G country and this is the most chatty they have been during Natty Champ week and they aren't OSU fans. But since it's a team from their region/conference they care much more about it.
