I'm largely joking, but he is an exceptional choker. That part isn't a joke.

Everyone should appreciate the talent that is Peyton Manning. Regardless of whether you cheered for or against him, he simply put on a show for us all. He is one of the greatest to sling the rock and if you fail to realize that then nobody can help you.

And what was wrong with that?

Am I missing something here? What was so controversial about him leading the band?

In '95 we kicked bamas butt from play #1 on after them beating us 9 years in a row (with one tie in there) and Peyton led the band in rocky top after the game. It was the start of our mid-90s to mid 00s dominance over them. It left a bad taste in a lot of BAMA fans mouths that's for sure, but I wouldn't say its controversial.

I never understood people getting mad about Peyton leading the band. He was excited, they won, no big deal.
Any bad taste I might have had is LONG gone at this point...

That tie was later forfeited, because you know, Bama cheats

Let us know if you need someone to vouch for your character, because there's no way in HELL you losers have been cheating recently.

Don't be pussyhurt. It happened, you know it happened, we know it happened, the NCAA knows it happened.

It happened, we know it happened, the NCAA knew it happened, we paid for it.
The fact that you suck makes it quite a bit more tolerable, though.
