LSU and Tennessee fans: The Comparison

Is there any doubt that future LSU fans will be exactly like the present Tennessee fans we all know and love?
20 years removed from winning anything worth a shite, yet they feel the need to constantly remind you that they were once good.
"Well see here little Jimmy, in 1997 we had Peyton Manning"
"I don't care Grandpa"
They always have to pipe in that they are Big 6 with the expectations of Alabama, yet cream their pants when they beat Vandy to finish with 6 wins.
It saddens me to accept the fact that we will have to deal with two of these fan bases in the near future. Enjoy just having one for the time being guys.

Tons of doubt.
Almost every single trend in college football that hurt Tenn the last two decades has helped LSU. In a way LSU took their spot in the sun because of a shift in what it takes to be a top program.
I won't say LSU fans will NEVER be where Tenn fans are, as things change. I will say that in the medium term if they ever go through such a decline period it is all due to coaching unlike at Tenn.
And before you protest Tenn fans: Dooley would have had top 15 classes every year at LSU. That is the difference between you and them, at LSU it is harder to fail.

Our last conference championship was the same year as Tenn's last SEC championship so I feel this is one topic I can weigh in on without the usual "what would an Aggie know? Do something then talk duh hur!"

Pretty easy to, when its to a fan base that hasn't won a football championship in over 50 years.

And LSU won the SEC in '11. So go away for 16 years and come back. Then you'll have the answer to your question.
