Sounds like Lucas Black. He is a cbs employee @ NCIS New Orleans and a Bama fan.

You're right it is Lucas Black . He played the young boy in the movie Sling Blade and the quarterback in the movie Friday Night Lights among many other rolls . Grew up in Morgan County just south of Huntsville , Alabama , I believe .
