I'd be very excited to see Muschamp come back to Auburn. His defense in 2007 was the last time I really had fun watching that unit.

If AU pays him 1.65 mill or more...why wouldn't he? AU is close to his wife's family, and Will's brother is a huge Auburn fan living in Rome, Ga. Auburn is the most logical choice for Muschamp. He's not going back to Texas to live and I don't see him as an NFL guy...plus we will pay more than the typical 750K-950k D coord. Positions in the NFL

How did Muschamp all the sudden become the end all of defensive coaches? Multiple programs are giving him savior status. I see a good coach, but not some incredible guru he's being made out to be.

As a coordinator he was pretty freaking solid and his defenses at Florida were incredible considering just how bad the rest of the team was.
I don't think it's a stretch to say he'd be one of the more respected DCs in the nation.
