Muschamp will not go there. He knows iron sharpens iron. A&M is inherently flawed with the offense they run that they will never have an elite defense. Their O is not physical enough to make their D more physical during practice. They can definitely get better on defense but Muschamp is all about a tough physical defense and he knows that just isn't happening at A&M.

Not at all what I was saying. What I was saying is A&M is predicated on a pass first system. A team just isn't going to be inherently physical when that is your philosophy. I never said you had to have a "1970's" approach on offense to strengthen your defense, all I said was you had to be physical i.e. you have to be a balanced physical offense with a strong running game. For example, look at the defenses Florida had under Meyer when they had Tebow. They had a modern offense but it was predicated on being balanced and physical, as well as getting guys into space. Their power RB just happened to be their QB.
