Mett has started more games as a rookie than the last 3 Bama QBs have in their careers.

It's nice to know that other programs measure their success by comparison to Alabama and not by how innately successful they are on their own. Feels good to be on top.

It's a metric I use when bama fans are using every meaningless argument they can think of to belittle what Mett is doing in the pros. Is he MVP material? No, but he's a rookie that's not playing horribly.
You guys are kind of pathetic when it comes to other schools' players having success in the NFL.

When the best thing you can say about your college football program is that you put a rookie QB in the NFL "that's not playing horribly", it's gotta be a rough season. Therefore, I understand the abundance of shitty posts/threads by LSU fans. We all see the state of the program right now and understand your frustration.

Thanks for proving my point.

Love seeing other SEC programs have success in the NFL. Like seeing guys I watched in college be stars at the next level.
Don't know why anyone else wouldn't.

They do as a group come off a bit sensitive in this area.
Not sure why. They've had a bevy of RBs and LBs that have had success in the NFL.
LA kids fare better than any other state per capita, period. So it stands to reason that LSU players would also.
On the subject of Mettenberger, he has the arm strength to make all the throws, and he appears to be improving on his progressions. But he's going to have a very difficult time with his lack of mobility. He needs a solid OL. Sunday saw 2 new starters on that line.
And he actually had a better game than Sanchez.

Well, the DB certainly got a hand on it. It wasn't a perfect throw but it had enough on it to still reach the target. I'll retract my previous statement that the TD was a gift from the DB because after further review it wasn't a really a frick up by the DB.
But I'm still not impressed with Mett as an NFL QB. I think he is very similar to Mallett

Numbers wise, Mett is doing better now than Bortles, Carr, or Bridgewater did to start their seasons.

I've said this already, but it's because most of them can't stand for anyone other than Bama to be successful. This thread is proof of that. Most of them came in here and tried to spin every comment about an LSU player into "well they still couldn't beat us". Its not a state of Alabama things because AU fans aren't like that. It really is kind of a sad existence.

that's fair. but how would you rank these 4 teams: OAK, Jags, Vikings, Titans?

It's very bothersome that you're not impressed with him
Seriously, I bet you're a scout or something so your opinion means a lot to me
I hope Mett can turn you at some point so that his career can flourish
