... Every time we're there, I forget we're in MO. It all kinda runs together in that little corner. ... Seriously, tho, it's one of my favorite places to visit in the country. Fell in love with it years ago the first time I went. It's hard to make myself leave.

Yeah I have family near Harrison. In fact I'll be over there for Thanksgiving. We fish in the Table Rock headwaters, and a summer trip to Roaring River, its all in the same neighborhood.

I went to the Elk River in Noel this year. It doesn't feel like a different state.

I think we'll be at BC a couple of nights over Christmas break. Cannot wait. I swear, I'd almost clean the cabins to get to live in one 4EVER.

Everything South of I-44 in Missouri is really no different than Arkansas, Kentucky, and Tennessee.

Dammit now I want provel.

If you go to the Imo's website they actually do put their pizzas on dry ice and ship to you anywhere in the country just like a lot of the prominent NY and Chicago pizza places do, it holds up pretty well after you pop it in the oven. I've done a couple of STL style pizza parties at my house down here in Austin that way and my Austin friends thought it was great.

A lot of STL/MO natives really do seem to loathe it though, the longer we talk about it in this thread one of them will probably pop up and go "blech." Probably just too commonplace up there at this point.
