Florida isn't that attractive of a job any longer

Your job security as a head coach for the Florida Gators is 3 years and if you don't win a championship, you're fired. No coach wants to walk into unreal expectations, especially when you play the likes of Georgia and LSU every year. Couple that with probably having to beat Bama to win the SEC.
FSU and Miami are on the upswing again as well. All of this doesn't equal a great job. I think this hire will be underwhelming.

Gainesville is certainly a shithole

Neither is being your father. That's why yours is no longer with us.

I don't know about this. Muschamp might've kept his job if his players looked like they actually knew what football is.

I'll give you the museum and barbecue.
Otherwise neither Tuscaloosa nor Birmingham should be mentioned in the same sentence with Gainesville.
In fact, I would rate Tuscaloosa as a whole as just a little bit better than Starkville.

I seem to remember reading similar posts around December 2006. C'mon, its still Florida.

Bama couldn't get a great coach when we got a great coach? :mind blown:

and Columbia is such a gem of a city - right?

Gator fans rally do have the most unreal expectations.
I have friends who consider Muschamp's 10 win season a failure, because they "won ugly" or "with defense".
Winning isn't enough. Gotta light up the scoreboard doing it.

No, but Charleston is. Bama can claim Mobile, if it makes you feel better.

You're killing your father Larry, but I agree, UF fans should just all give up, and be stricken with dysentery and shite themselves to death in front of everyone they love.

Exactly. That fanbase runs off just about everyone. I'm not saying Muschamp was a great coach but their constant breathing down the neck of the coaches has to be annoying to anyone whos trying to set the course for success.
