Wasn't a critic but he is typical of all world backs from LSU. Still can't score on Bama.

he gained only 80 yards, but i'm pretty sure he delivered some shots to our defenders during those 80 yds ... most would agree nothing will stop him being a stud back the next two years, tho it would obviously help him physically and draft wise if the passing game stepped up ...

LF is the most talented back in the country
WTF?What's the basis of this statement? His HS career?
Not even close to being the most talented RB in the country...he MIGHT have the best combination of size and speed of any FRESHMAN but that's about it
Just because you're big and fast it doesn't make you a talented RB
He lacks vision big time and also needs to lower his center of gravity or he'll get more than one concussion before his career is done.
RB is a pretty instinctive position and there's some traits you either have or don't,

Some people just like to kiss arse now and then. You are right of course and him making that claim was ignorant.

When he wasn't out there to start OT I thought Foster's hit shook him up.
He was lined up in the I on first down.

Well, we'll definitely find out next year, Cowboy.

It would probably rise now that we have Gurley back to keep Chubb fresh.

Take a good look at that number, there's a good chance you may see it before we do.

It that was the kickoff hit you're right but I still say there was an explosion between LF and either a Bama safety or LB where he got his bell rung big time. The kickoff lick was killer but this running play I'm talking about was like one of those Jacob Hester runs.

It is impossible to live up to the hype that he had coming in. He was a dark horse Heisman candidate by some people. He is nowhere close to that kind of player yet. He has the talent and physical traits to get there in a couple of seasons though.

Fournette hasn't broken a big one, but he's been delivering shots every game. Chubb has been breaking off many more big runs. Fournette's style is bruising though. He will be legit.

put him in Jeremy Hill's shoes last year with Mett, Beckham, and Landry and what do you think you would have?
Very similar to what JHill accomplished. Not much more, if that is what you are trying to say.

No doubt about that and he does run extremely hard but I think he needs to learn how to avoid some of those hard licks if wants to stay healthy in the long run
He has the tools let's hope he refines em in the next year or so

This was kinda my second question about him. How can he maintain that downhill style in the SEC? Seems there would be a choice to be made by Miles.... either maintain the bruising style or teach him to avoid contact so he can be a 25 carry a game back.

Would be nice to see what he can do if he doesn't play a series then sit out two series. Backs and their line need to get in a flow. Rb by committee keeps em fresh but rarely allows a huge rushing day with breaking a long run.

Chubb woulda hung 200 yards on Bama
and it would only take him 59 carries to do it.
Chubb attempts to carry the rock that much against Bama and he'd be walking with a cane the next day and talking like "Radio"...
