Should the SEC have two teams considered for playoff?

I was looking at the Sugar Bowl over the last 8 years and it seems that the basic 'runner up' of the SEC hasn't faired too well. Just a small sample, but could support their argument if they want to make it.
2006 2 loss Georgia beat by WV
2009 1 loss Bama beat by UTAH
2011 2 loss Arky beat by OSU
2013 1 loss UF beat by Louisville
2014 1 loss Bama beat by OU
So maybe the committee should not consider a second SEC team?

The committee should select the 4 teams with the best resumes regardless of conference, imo.
It would be a shame and an affront to logical thinking if they considered past sugar bowl performances.

If you lose two games and there are 4+ teams with one loss or less you should be out of consideration, regardless of how "good" your losses were.

Its hard to get a team up to play for a bowl game that doesnt mean much, especially when you were so close to playing for a NC.
When its all on the line and you have a chance to win it all, the SEC has done better well..

I know it's a very subjective argument, but teams just missing out on the natty and often playing far less interesting opponents are not going to be motivated.

If you were one game away from playing for a national championship, and then you lost and had to play some shite team from another conference right before you sign on to an NFL roster making you worth millions of dollars are you really going to try that hard?
no. I wouldn't.
leave troll.

quote:The SEC is best argument isn't the right argument. The best resume argument is the one to make. If 2 SEC teams have top 4 resumes, they should be in based on the resumes. Not all SEC teams are equal.

Probably not in most years, but this year, if it all shakes out right, would be a year where two should be considered.

Only power 5, even the shitty big 10. Non-power 5 teams have to be undefeated IMO.

Yes. If two teams are basically dead even, then they'll give the nod to the conference champion if one of them is not.
That's how they're going to do it.

IMO you cant make the top resume argument without making the top conference argument.
Unless they stepped out and played a really top notch non conf schedule, which most do not.

Yep.
1 loss champ from any other power conference gets the nod over a 1 loss 2nd place SEC team. Otherwise the rage from the rest of the country would cause the committee to be disbanded in a couple of years.

I didn't say that.
I said if the two teams were dead even.
11-1 Alabama or 11-1 Auburn would get in over 12-1 Ohio State.
