How about chewing on shite? Man, I've lost some nice boots to teething pups. As my wife said, it's my own fault for leaving them on the floor, you know, where frickin boots go!
he's been a little chewy, but not too bad.
we actually think he got a case of the kennel cough while at the pound. he starts hacking up every now and then. or he has an allergic reaction to our house. but seriously, no yelping, no hyperness. just even keel, but plays with the kids
we just got back from the vet and they said he was the first guy to not yelp at all when they did the stool test. so either he's really just that calm or gay and likes it up the pooper.

I got a 6 month old blue heeler/English pointer mix. Love her to death but dumbest dog ever lol. Chews everything and doesn't listen too good. Nothing's off limits for her. Eats shoes, wood, toys (human and her own), grass, frogs, birds, her own bed, blankets, u name it she'll try it haha. Wife wanted to housetrain her, but would just bark all night, and keep everyone awake. One day she left her out and went to work while I was asleep and I woke up to pick my kids up from school and there was pillow stuffing EVERYWHERE. Just obliterated 2 couch pillows and chewed a hole in the coach itself. Vet said she's not sick, just that's how she is. I moved her outside, and she loves it. Complete with a doghouse and everything. Had to put chicken coop wire around trees and the wood beams on our deck but she don't eat that, thank God lol

Heelers are definitely an active breed, they were created as working dogs and it's just in their nature. They're usually as smart as their training..
Mine's learned what to do to not obey me when she doesn't want to.

wow, bet that boy is like a wolverine on Red Bull.
an update:
he has remained incredibly chill. he doesn't get hyper unless you make him hyper by pushing him around and running. he sits in the next room every night when the wife and i are settling down and just keeps it to where he can see us. if we move he'll come lay down and put his head on the crevice. i have heard him bark once in 6 days which is amazing.
he managed to open the door out of the laundry room when we went to church yesterday and he was just sitting in front of the door waiting when we got home.
he's gotten a little more chewy, but better than any pure lab i've ever had, listening when we tell him no, and tearing into whatever we do hand him.
here's him, chilling in my office during work when i drug him upstairs, because there's no way i'm leaving him downstairs alone at this point.
