How many national championship s would they have won? I think Miles is a great recruiter but very overrated as a coach.. elite talent every year.. Saban would have been able to continue to get talent and is a much better coach. Been saying it for years that LSU arguably has the best talent year in and year out but Miles is not an elite x s and o's guy.. Average at best

Probably the one in 2011, maybe 2013, and possibly 2006 or 2005
So about 3-4 more with him staying.

He only had two 10-win seasons in BR so it's not like he blew the lid off like he has at Bama. They'd probably have three total in his tenure if he were still there?

Wow.. so you would take him over Gus who took a 3 and 9 team the year before and came 13 seconds away from a national championship in his first year..

Yeah. Auburn has arguably the best talent every year.

According to LSU 's very own fanbase, the majority preferred, at least up to 1/9/12, Miles over Saban.
So, the answer should be less than the one they won in 2007.

What a garbage thread this is.

I don't think we would have any more than we do now. He never had back to back 10 win seasons at LSU. And I also believe is a better coach for having gone to the NFL, and failing.

5-7 to 8-5 = 3-9 to 12-2?

What has Gus done better than Les?

To hell with fictitious national championships, I just wish that sumbitch would've won his last game at LSU.

If Saban worlda just been successful in the NFL Miles would have 3 NCs

Offense.
But yea give Gus 2-3 years and you can answer that question better. Personally I'd rather have Gus.

LSU does not have the best talent year in and year out. The state of Louisiana has good talent but, not the best or the most. It is true that most of that in-state talent fled Lousiana like death before Saban arrived and kept them home.
As far as how many NC's Saban would have had at LSU, had he stayed, who can say? Probably not any more than the one. LSU isn't a team that wins NC's. How many do they have, four? That's pitiful. It's just not in their football culture to be highly successful.
