Georgia 2nd best rush defense in sec
Team & Rushing Offense Rank
Clemson- 95th
South Carolina- 63rd
Tennessee- 112th
Troy- 94th
Vandy- 111th
Mizzou- 77th
They damned should be good against the run playing weak sauce like that.

Well, we'll see how things work out this weekend. Something's got to give.

Arkansas is also #39 in rush defense only allowing 126 yards per game.

and we rush for 276 a game.
these teams are strikingly similar. Mediocre passing, excellent rushing, spotty/inconsistent defense. What arkansas has big time saturday is your main gun is fully loaded whereas ours is not (gurley likely not playing) and you're at "home". I've been getting more nervous by the day about this one. Tomorrow will not be fun.

Yup, and something has to give. We have the 16th run O and you guys have the 15th. Pretty even matchup.

Weird shite happens in Little Rock.mGhosts or some shite.
The football gods hated John L Smith, so they reversed their shite on is for ULM and State last year. I feel like it's back to normal now though.
2 miracle on Markhams, Carlos Hall jumps 10 feet in air to block late FG from top 10 SCar in early 2000's...weird man...
7:40 mark

Matt Stinchcomb was saying this same thing on our local radio the other day -- he said that Georgia had a great statistical run defense but that it was a bit of a mirage because they've played mostly weak running offenses thus far and several teams have actually had decent success against them. USC had 176 net yards rushing, UT had 117, and Vandy had 132 against against them.

Be a good matchup.
While I am in favor of all games being in Fayetteville, if all the south Arkansas crazies show up Saturday, The Rock will be rocking for sure. It can be a stupid loud venue. Maybe one of the loudest in college football. IMO

Sorry, I'll pass.
I'll stick to the traditional hog call while visiting WMS on Saturday.

I've said before, this game will be won by the team who's QB only goes half retard in clutch time. One is bound to go the full route.
Hoping for no injuties and Gurley gets to play.

quote:I see that as well. Mason is a good game manager but that mainly involves handing the ball off. The only time we needed him for a win this season he fricked up royally. With this running game, I expect our game to be over in less than 3 hours.

This may be the first time ever two teams run the HUNH wishbone 2 minute drill.

Both D's practice against very good rushing O's, so I suspect that Georgia's rush D is legit despite the poor rushing O's of their earlier opponents. I'm also concerned that the middle of our D is banged up (Philon less than 100% and Ellis out). WMS is a bit of a dump and really more of a high school stadium than college stadium, but it tends to draw a loud, raucous crowd and provides a decent home field advantage. I'm hoping that Georgia shot it's emotional wad over losing Gurley last weekend and that it's time for a bit of a letdown game for them this week. Missouri also may have given them a bit too much confidence with how poorly Missouri played last week.
I see this one as a coin-toss and am hoping that this is the week we get over the hump.

Personally I like WMS. It has bathrooms, concession stands, and there's not a bad seat in the house. It really has all the amenities needed to enjoy a football game.
I don't need a massage parlor, reclining chair, or table for tea and crumpets to be able to watch the game. Just sayin'.

I would be happy to have the Hogs play one game a year (maybe alternating SEC and OOC opponents) in the Rock from now on. The crowd there can get pretty riled up and that gets our players going.
