As good as MISS st has done this year they will be back to middle of the west next year. Mullin struck at the best possible time. Miss st has an extremely experienced team and lsu and bama are in a rebuilding year.
Offense is going to be even better next year, defense will be about the same. If you think we have weapons now, wait until Bear has been playing football for a third year, and you have to defend a second year Gabe Myles and Donald Gray in the slot.

I see what you're saying now. Don't know enough to answer though. Bert could have the greateat turnaround ever soon.

First of all, no. But you're biased, so you won't see it.
Second, every sports news outlet west of the Atlantic Ocean was talking about Gus' ascendance last year. No one is doing that for Mullen, because they are two completely different situations.

bullshite. You have one sophomore starting on defense. Your 2 ' s are not on the same level as your 1's. Youre crazy if you think you maintain this after this year. You havent recruited good enough to lose 3 of your 5 oline. 2 of your best 3 wrs. Your te.
You lose 3 of your 4 dlineman. Your best lb and your best cb and both of your safeties.
Youre delusional if you think you're this good next year.

He's done a pretty good job of turning it around at MSU.
Unfortunately for y'all, you will have a new coach next year rebuilding your program.

Arguably our 2 best DT's are "2's". We will be far better at WR, that isn't debatable. Our 2's in the secondary played more against AU than our starters. Will Redmond was an absolute fricking man, probably had the best game of anyone.
To top it off, Mullen literally redshirted the entire class this year. We are playing 2 freshmen, one of which he had to pull the redshirt on because of an injury.

I JUST read this morning that MSU is losing 13 to 15 of its 22 starters not to mention maybe the head coach

You don't lose 3 of 5 olinemen and get better on the oline. You dont lost 3 dlineman , your best lb and almost your entire secondary and get better. It doesn't happen at programs that don't reload which Miss St does not do. While you're a great team and are having an amazing season and since LSU'S season is over I'll be pulling for you guys, but you just don't recruit well enough to lose all that and be better.

They lose almost their entire oline, dline and secondary and best lb. 3 players in each group

Point of the laughing at you is that this is a question for the end of the season. Let's see how this all finishes up. You're asking a historical question after 6 games of the season have been played.

The key is we only lose about that many in the 2 deep. Big losses are Preston Smith, McKinney, and Jameon Lewis. Jameon has been hurt for 2 games and McKinney's backup is a stud. Replacing Smith will be key, but Jefferson had like 4 sacks last week so I expect us to fill the gap.

Sweet 8 pound 6 oz baby Jesus you Miss. State fans are an annoying bunch

We rotate 5 DT's, all of which split equal time. We lose 2 of those, and not even the best two. Non State fans won't understand, because you aren't familiar with our team. Our defense will be serviceable next season. Offense will be better.

Again. This has been a great season for miss st but you can't lose as much as you're going to lose and be as good or better the next year. Losing roughly 75% of your offensive and defensive starters almost ensures that you will be worse next year.
Also, if you can't admit that Miss St is having a better year because Bama and lsu are down then you arent being honest. Its far easier to win the west when Bama and lsu are breaking in a ton of new starters and you returned every single starter.
