Since the NFL absorbed the AFL in 1970, 344 running backs have had at least 500 career rushing attempts, with Richardson becoming the latest to reach that milestone. Richardson's career average of 3.34 yards per carry is better than only two of those 344 players -- Michael Haddix, a former Mississippi State star who played mainly as a fullback in eight seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers, and Zack Crockett, another fullback who carried the ball 510 times in 13 seasons in the NFL. He is averaging a cool 0.8 YPC tonight and is one of only six players EVER to have 5 or more games with 15+ carries at fewer than 2 YPC. He is, very literally, one of the worst running backs in NFL history from a statistical standpoint
