They should pick someone with ties to both programs. Cecil Newton, SR. might be available.

Would love to see Big K.R.I.T.

He's a huge State fan and loves the State. Would no doubt, be my pick.

Ding Dong - Greg Hardy is going to be a great guest picker when they come back on November 1st.

Why not James Meredith?

It's definitely Jerry Rice. And I'm super pumped. Greatest WR to ever play the game.

Jerry Rice hates the state of MS. He's publicly stated this several times throughout his career.

True, but he's from Starkville, so I'm sure he can make an exception for 1 Saturday morning.

It's all about exposure, and if Twitter is any indication Katy Perry is literally the most famous person on the planet.

Who gives a shite if they know anything about football or not. It's a guest picker for entertainment. She picked better than any of the Gameday crew anyway

Link? He had nothing but good things to say about Mississippi in his book.

I just wish they'd use people with some real connection to the school. No more publicity stunts because you know someone who's a fan or alum.

You're aware that the internet hasn't been around forever right? And that even when the internet was around...there wasn't very much information on it....

Google wasn't around in the 80's and early 90's. He rarely came back to MS when he was playing...one example of his problems with MS is he hated how he couldn't walk into a bank without getting scared looks until he became famous.
