It's not an either/or choice. Both are unwarranted before guilt is established. Anyway, we were talking about the legal system in general.

I think Florida is within their rights to suspend him and probably ought to based on the charge. A university is not a court of law, and some of the problems we have today are because people act as though they are. Handling sexual assault cases in university committees, for example, is lunacy.

The UF athletic department has decided to suspend someone until an investigation is over. He may not be guilty. That's unfortunate for Harris if true, but Florida is being cautious, which I think is admirable and warranted here.
