But it hasn't helped the run numbers. They are ranked ahead of us on rush D and allowed 4 less TD's. Which is why I said total D doesn't tell the whole story and why I said take away the pass D to get to it. I wasn't trying to suggest their poor pass D isn't important overall to the game. They are ranked 123/124 teams. It is horrid and why I am in no way afraid to go play the mutts.

Again, MSU hasn't played a D as good as AU. The grinders will be silenced once again imo.

I also want to add they haven't played a rushing offense as good as ours either.

Got to do the adjusted yardage stats that take out garbage time stats.

AU just beat the crap out of LSU for the first time in a LONG freaking time, and we're still celebrating practically, and you start this thread?

Edit: Ah, that sounded harsher than I intended. While I do think LSU is not going to finish well in the SEC by any means, MSU hasn't exactly beat a bunch of world-beaters either. The comparison between the two schedule wise is actually fairly even at this point.

That would only improve States standing in the rankings. However, there pass D is really bad despite the late time garbage bro.

By "their rushing numbers" I meant Mississippi State defense's rushing numbers. When teams run less, you give up less rushing yards. Sorry should've clarified that.

Gotcha.

Look I think this will be a tough game, but I think the score is going to be a wider margin of victory for AU than most think. The more I look at their numbers and ours I get more comfortable.

The thing that keeps me in check is the fact it is in Starkville, Dak and Robinson.

I don't know what to tell you. If you think they are ranked 2nd to last in all of college football due to garbage time numbers I can't help you...

I feel like you should be on the otherside of this argument with what we were just arguing about on the total Defense stat

I was just commenting on a particular post of yours. I feel they are better than the 13th ranking in the SEC. I think we have our work cut out for us on running the ball, but we are clearly the better team.

We didn't just"beat them."

We demolished them. Average margin of victory of 29 points. Those are arse kickings. And that's with running out the clock during a fourth of both of those games. They are still SEC teams.
