Why couldn't the wealthy Texas A&M fanbase buy their allotment of tickets?

I heard they returned over 2K unsold tickets for the MSU/tA&M game this Saturday.
Its a #6 vs #12 matchup, what gives Aggies????

Looks like the Aggie's aren't quite as RICH as they claim. And FWIW the extra tickets returned to MSU are about to all be bought and the game will officially a sellout.

Is this going to be the excuse after the loss? The fanbase just wasn't interested in the matchup after playing their old conference rival Arkansas.
