I'd rather you and everyone else yell also in the direction of the field, that's much louder on the field than being a dick with the cowbell.
You see, the cowbell rang upwards projects sound to where? Above? that's not where the action is at. The sky isn't where we need sound, it's on the ground..So when everyone yells it's a much louder place.
However, I don't think we'll have to worry about any of this because that new expansion has helped us out tremendously sound-wise.

They'll just keep increasing the fine until y'all eventually stop.
Is the artificial noise maker ban still in place?

It's $50k for this f'up...
Ringing constantly just makes our whole fanbase look like inbred retards. Totally oblivious to the reality that yelling is louder on the field -- and ringing "responsibly" makes the tradition so much cooler and less annoying.
Ringing constantly = compensating for something that we're actually not missing. Not anymore.

Who is the ultimate authority to determines to levy a fine and what are the factors he or she uses in making that determination?
Is it arbitrarily determined by an SEC official who attends the game?
Are there bright line rules and standards that must be followed or obeyed?
Thanks

Yes, the SEC has someone at every game that judges this... It's a judgement call...
I'm not that worried about it against aTm because for the most part we won't be lubed up enough to get totally stupid with the cowbells for the 11AM kick. The two previous times we got in trouble were night games...

Mississippi State University is a public university, owned and operated by the State of Mississippi and, thus, the people of Mississippi.
The state legislator, university, etc. needs to bark a little at the SEC and state that the fine will not be paid until a bright line rule is set as to the "quantity and quality" of ringing, or a bar on decibel levels and amount of time the ringing occurs during actual game play is set.
Does anyone know who makes the judgment call or his qualifications as an expert?
I don't like y'all, but if I were your representative or other state or school official, I'd be all over this shite.

It has nothing to do with that. We are a part of the SEC and they make the rules. The rule is a judgement call by an SEC rep and they've been fairly lenient IMO.

Is that why the state of Pennsylvania ("Penn State University") refused to pay the outrageous fine levied on them by the NCAA after the Sandusky fallout?
Was Penn State not a part of the NCAA?
frick that shite dude. Get it in writing.

I wish I were making the trip up from NOLA for this game. I've been doing so much traveling recently and really need a couple weekends to stay home and keep things together here.
