Look for a full court press on Jimbo Fisher from LSU. Word on the street from FSU and LSU sources are that this is the only job he would consider leaving FSU for. He is still extremely close with many LSU people and loved his seven seasons here. I'm not saying he would accept, but he would definitely consider it. And, with Winston most likely gone, a chance to coach in the best division in the country and a ridiculous amount of young talent Miles would leave him?? He'd be crazy to not to think about it. Just the word on the street folks....that said, I seriously doubt Miles goes anywhere.

Why would he take a step down?

You'll rob Ok State of their coach and name them a coaching pipeline.

I don't see him leaving the gold mine he's in right now. He can easily win the ACC for years to come.

Coaching change thread started by an LSU fan that does not mention Saban.

I remember when Auburn was looking for a coach a few years ago, that Fisher would ONLY leave FSU for Auburn, and that he loved his time at Auburn. Mostly BS, but it's fun to belive.

Booooo. Plus, why would he make a lateral move. He's doing fine in Tallahassee.

Same here. How much does it bear emphasizing that he's 60 and is probably not interested in trying to rehabilitate a foundering program in his last years. That's backbreaking work and the prospect of success is by no means guaranteed. Why not go out at LSU with a chance to compete for a couple more big ones?

First off...nothing will happen unless their AD is canned. Which might happen. The only reason I see Miles consider it is due to the fact that his alma mater (one of the most storied programs in history) is in complete shambles. It has to be killing him what these two previous coaches have done, so don't think all his family and friends aren't begging him to come back home and get them back on track.

He definitely will not be going to Michigan as long as Dave Brandon is still the athletic director. No halfway decent coach will take the job just to be micromanaged by him.

But how many oil wells will your boosters offer Jimbo? That's the new currency for coaches, I hear..

Thug coach, thug culture, perfect fit!
