Come on in folks.... We are having a .... lets say not so good year so far and we need a place to come drown our sorrows and throw a few back.
No one with "boi" in their name allowed.
ETA: plus it will be a great place to be when the West starts having issues and it's coming

Screw you. I'm applying for West membership. They'd gladly trade Arkansas for us. Not because we're better, but because we're less yappy.

for what it's worth... UGA has the second best helmet design in CFB (though it appears it was stolen from Green Bay), UT has an awesome stadium, Gamecocks have the most unique mascot, and The Swamp is a pretty intimidating place to play.
Did I leave anyone out? Who else, by the way, plays in the SEC-East?
Oh, yeah, Vandy...I hear they're pretty smart.

Can we fast forward to August 2015 already?

It's ok guys. VOLS are gonna be running this division by this time next year. We'll give you all something to be proud of

Actually, Green Bay petitioned UGA to be able to use the logo, back in the day.

shite. Not sure how the schedule works out but I don't want to bring an inexperience QB into A&M for his first game. Granted, the defense will be experienced and A&M was in that position this year when they came into Columbia.

Come on over, application approved.
Wait, I can't do that, can I?

Honestly, I don't know what to think of the SEC east. There are certainly no great teams in the division this year, but other than Vandy, I feel as though most of the mid road teams are actually improved and competitive from last year. USCe and MIZZOU appeared to have fallen a bit from last year. UGA is hmm, I guess even, especially, if they are start platooning another QB. I do think the defense, while never being great, will continue to improve. Mason, if not subbed at least at some points in games, will continue to drag UGA down

I want Mitch to play.
Thompson sucks and we're not playing for anything anyways. Might as well start prepping for next year

Thompson sucked last night. I was worried that would be the Thompson we'd get all season, but it hasn't been. It has been pretty solid through the first 4 games and I think I read was on pace to shatter Ellis' yards in a season record.
All the WR/TE drops we've had this year haven't helped either.
With that said, if Thompson continues what he did last night into the UK game I think we will see Mitch.

The East sucks. The West is highly over rated as well.
Texas aTm grinds out a win against unranked Arkansas on a neutral field and its somehow a testament to "how good the west is". Auburn struggles to get anything going on the road at KSU and its a "defining road win against a top 25 team."
I think the East is bellow the West in general terms it isnt nearly as bad as some make it out to be and the West is highly over rated.

we did not steal it, we designed it and THEY changed theirs to look exactly like ours

quote:
In 1963 after becoming the Bulldogs' Head Football Coach, Vince Dooley redesigned the football uniform choosing a red helmet with a black "G" on a white background as the dominant feature of the new uniform for the 1964 season.
He discussed with his staff that a forward-looking "G" would be an appropriate emblem for the helmet of the Georgia team. Dooley had just hired John Donaldson, former Georgia player from 1945 to 1948, as backfield coach. John was keen on the idea of a new image and volunteered his wife, Anne, who had a BFA in commercial art from UGA to design a logo for the new Georgia helmet with the general specifications Dooley had outlined. Dooley accepted Anne's original "G" which fit his vision for a forward look to Georgia's new emblem.
Since the Georgia "G"- though different in design and color- was similar to Green Bay's "G", Coach Dooley thought it best to clear the use of Georgia's new emblem with the NFL team. Athletic Director Joel Eaves called for permission which was granted. However, since its inception in 1961, the Green Bay "G" has been redesigned several times and now looks like Georgia's original 1964 "G." Georgia is proud that the Packers apparently liked the special nuances of the Bulldogs' forward-looking "G."
Georgia's oval "G", eventually replacing Georgia's old block "G" as the official UGA symbol, has stood the test of time. It made its first appearance in the opening game in 1964 and was an immediate hit with the Georgia fans, especially after Dooley's first three teams were so successful--highlighted by the 1966 SEC Championship.

The AU win over K-State was meh, but there's no question they would win the East. I think the Pigs would be even money to win the East.
Sorry to interrupt...carry on with your pity party.

You all said the same shite last year down the stretch when Mizzou was leading the east. "The East sucks, they will get destoryed by ranked West teams aTm and Ole Miss."
The East isnt as bad and the West isnt as good as you west honks claim.

I have always liked UGA helmet and their unis, especially the one they wore yesterday. One of the best in all college football.
