The Batt will always have a special place in my heart. Aggiebelle did a little writing for them as an underclassman and even interviewed me as part of one of her Muster articles before we started dating.

My fish year, most of my buddies and I ended up on the front page in the background of a touchdown catch. We paid dearly for that. Apparently, it is not a fish privilege to be on the front page of the Batt. Who knew?

Not really. Generally speaking, first semester fish year in the Corps is supposed to suck, so they had to turn our glory into pain somehow. It was suggested that we make it easier on ourselves by taking sharpies and marking out our faces on every copy of the Batt we could. Fun times. The irony of it was that we only got that "glory" because our seats sucked. Field level near the end zone.
