Well the title pretty much says it all. We've won 5 in a row vs Clemson and 4/5 against UGA.
The best part? These aren't scrub teams that we have beaten. Almost all 9 of these wins have been against ranked teams. Clemson has won the ACC and been to a couple of BCS bowls. UGA has won the East a couple of times. Both teams finished with 10+ wins several times.
With that said, I don't think any Gamecock could not admit that we haven't screwed up some big opportunities and that has left us a little light in the trophy case, but if anyone doesn't think Spurrier hasn't performed a miracle here need look no further then that simple state.

Georgia? Or the Upstate (a state unto themselves)?

Many teams in cfb can own similar claims.
Happens.
But the way SC has bounced back shows solid team character (and ballsy coaching).
I wouldn't bet against the Gamecocks in any of their remaining games.

Here. Here. I've followed USC's fortunes for a long while because they were so close to our own before Spurrier. IIRC, UK was on Spurrier's radar before he ultimately chose USC.
Oh, the possibilities. Cock fans should thank the OBC at each rising for turning your program around.

That's pretty remarkable, especially as you pointed out, those were mostly ranked teams. I would also add that they had higher rated recruiting classes all but clemson's last year.

That just means Spurrier is more focused on his personal Super Bowls rather than the best interests of the SCAR program. If the cocks were smart, they would can spurrier and go after Les Miles. Outside of that goose egg in New Orleans, he's a solid big game coach.

Your hatred for USC is perplexing and amusing

So we should get rid of a "super bowl" 1st coach for a coach that is good in big games?
