I credit "Head Coach In Waiting" - Lane Kiffen

They haven't updated Kenny Hill yet. Blake's is probably still better. I didn't see what Kenny's ratio was yesterday.

Kenny Hill didn't play an FBS teams, so his won't be updated on the link I posted. The list in the link in the OP is vs FBS teams.

To be fair, neither did we honestly.

Well FAU is an FBS team, so it is what it is.

He's probably last in pass completions/attempts over 20 yards.

Hasnt needed to throw long passes. His production speaks for itself.

At least he can complete those short passes.

He's currently at 10.1 yards per pass attempt. That would have led the entire nation several of the past few years.
Obviously, he's only played 2 games but given this 10.1 yards per attempt number and the fact that Kiffen has essentially implemented a West Coast Offense (which is designed to spread teams horizontally and has been highly successful in the NFL and college.....See Bill Walsh for reference).......I think Sims' production and the offense's efficiency is much better than most anticipated.

Counting Jones' 3 drops?

He's thrown nothing but screen passes. His completion percentage should be high.
Sims’ 12 completed passes traveled to receivers an average of 2.3 yards downfield.

Nothing but screen passes?
quote:
Seven of Sims' pass attempts went beyond the line of scrimmage. Cooper took a 5-yard slant 18 yards on the first possession. His longest throw of the day -- and arguably his best so far this season -- fell incomplete, as he rolled to his left and threw 25 yards to Christion Jones, who had his hands on the ball but couldn't hold on to it. Jones made up for it by taking an 18-yard Sims throw for another 23 on the first play of the second half. Sims' penultimate throw of the game went roughly 16 yards through the air but was deflected by a defender.

Thought I may need to post this again in case you didn't read it.
Look, he is doing what is asked of him. They just aren't asking him to do a whole lot. I've been happy with how he has played, but I still believe Coker will be our QB. He will give us our best chance once we face tougher defenses for sure.

I read it and also read the accompanying article that said FAU was giving WRs a huge cushion when BS was in the game and he would've been a fool to not take those short throws they were giving him
