Kenny Hill trying to give himself a nickname after 1 game?
The better part of Kenny Hill's performance has been the emergence of JFF's new nickname... "Johnny Who?"

Trill was coined by Baton Rouge artists boosie and webbie. UGK stole it from them.
The frick...?
That's been a PA/Houston thing since before Boosie and Webbie were even known.
Do yourself a favor and find Trill arse Remixes or Red, White and Trill by DJ Dolby D.

I know I just wanted to get a rise out of the UGK fans

I am no more likely to use this nickname for Hill than I was likely to call Manziel "Johnny Football."
Did not happen then, will not happen now.

Kenny didn't try to give himself anything. The interviewers asked and pressed the question before he even designated which 'nick name' he liked.
Here's the interviews:

Just call him Kenny Trill.
Many, including Johnny Manziel himself, started calling new Texas A&M quarterback Kenny Hill by the nickname Kenny Football after his record-setting, 511-yard passing game in an upset of South Carolina last week.
But the sophomore quarterback says that's Manziel's thing -- and he prefers Kenny Trill.
"I like that one," he said. "That one's cool."
Before settling on Kenny Trill, Hill went through a laundry list of nicknames people have suggested since Thursday's game.
"I heard there's Kenny Trill, Kenny Thrill, King of the Hill, Kenny Football, Kenny Chill, Kenny Touchdown," he said. "I mean there's too many of them."
Though trill is a word to describe a vibratory sound, that's not what it means in rap culture. It's a hybrid of true and real and has long been used by Texas rapper Bun B, who calls himself Bun B Trill OG.
"I know about Bun B and I know coach Sumlin has got a little relationship with Bun B," Hill said. "So hopefully he'll let me be Kenny Trill."

ESPN article above makes it pretty clear that Hill didn't give himself the nickname. He just likes Trill best.
I actually like it.

Do you think this is a troll?

Solid post, thanks Brer.
The logo on their helmets may be the same, but I think folks will soon come to realize that personality-wise, Hill and Manziel are extremely dissimilar. Kenny is his own man, and a lot more toned down than Johnny. Just as confident, but goes about his business his own way.
Hope he has a monumentally successful tenure wearing the maroon and white.
