You're so scared of us, it's precious.

Ikr?
In 2 yrs time, OP has taken us from "they'll never be able to compete w the big boys," to "the big boys will never compete with them."
Both premises are ludicrous.

I love how maybe 10% of the responses to the OP were legitimate discussion of the relative merits of the the OP's premise while the remaining 90% consisted of "You scared."

sorry, you let Texas in you might as well let in FSU or Clemson. only fair.

The big 12 is likely to not stay intact down the road, imo, but I doubt when it does implode the SEC is not going to open its borders for any of those bitch-arse programs. Texas could have joined in the past but they turned it down because they don't like to play second fiddle to anyone.... so frick them and that toilet throne they sit on. Oklahoma, no thank you as well. They would rather join the Pac12 anyway.....

I mean I accept his premise. We are the SEC entity with an unfair advantage and it will be everyone else's undoing. Seems obvious.

Neither one add significant TV markets, which is the reason de jure of conference realignment (at least for the SEC).
Expect a NC and VA School in the future. My bets are on VATech and NCState.
Saaaaaaaay what? Dallas/Ft Worth is the #5 TV market in the country. Raleigh Durham is 27th.

I'm sorry. You've finished 3rd and what 5th? in your division. Are you competing yet? Now, you MIGHT compete this year. Why don't we wait and see how you do before you insinuate that you are competing.

UTx will never be in the SEC. OU maybe would join, but they'd have to escape from osu

Pipe down, bubs.
Your argument is w the OP, not me.
I was merely summarizing his take.
And yeah, whether you're comfortable w it or not, we're competing.

You joke (I think) but my dad used to say the same thing about Florida. He said that when the Gators realized that they had a natural (I wouldn't call it unfair) advantage they'd use it to dominate the conference.
Sure enough, in the 1990s Steve Spurrier saw the advantage the Gators had and exploited it to the max. If he hadn't moved on to the pros, Florida might have become a dynasty. Having won 7 of the 22 SECCGs, who's to say they haven't?
The Gators' AD, Foley, has used that advantage to raise the status of the entire UF athletic program. Florida has won NCs in 13 of the 21 sports they operate. Awesome.
I predict the same success for TAMU. If Sumlin stays, the Aggies will be incredible. If Eric Hyman is as skilled as UF AD Foley, the sky is the limit for the Aggy program.
I just hope you guys don't start liking basketball.

Would be great because then you could move Bama and Auburn to the east. Keep all rivalries in tact and the divisions would be evened out.
That would put 9 teams in the east and 7 in the the west, don't know how that is evened out?

Our first year, had Florida not been our cross division opponent and we had Tennessee like Alabama, we would have won the conference.

Everybody knew coming into the conference that A&M coming into the SEC was a sleeping giant. They can only take 25 per year though, and think, before the expansion UT always had their hand pick from the state of Tx. Doesn't make anybody invincible. A contender? Sure, but they will always share contention in this conference.
And let's let them win the division once before we start claiming them the greatest dynasty ever.

The are benefiting from UT being down. Make no mistake about it, Texas is the premier program in that state. Always has, always will be. Strong will turn it around over there and whenever that happens, UT will challenge A&M for the recruits in the area.

No way you beat UGA in 2012 in the Georgia Dome. Keep dreaming. As good as Alabama was, they barely escaped.

Just get over it dude. There are teams that may threaten your teams dominance. That's why you pay your coach $7mill per year.
