Do you believe the police/pro-Darren Wilson narrative or the protester/pro-Michael Brown story of the events?

Yeah. I thought about typing that, but that's probably in the ballpark.
It has no legal bearing on the case, but I wonder if the outcome would have changed at all if it didn't start in this fashion.
And would the overall tenor of police/AA relations improve in STL if police encounters with AAs didn't all too often start this way.

So, when I visit STL next month, I'm NOT supposed to bow up to the local cops? Just want to make sure I have a grasp of customs on that side of the state.

If you're outside to 270 perimeter, you can get away with a lot. Inside 70, do not bow up or make eye contact with 5–0.

I don't think it was racially driven and I think the officer acted in according to current law. I think Brown was charging the cop based off of the evidence.
I think we need stricter rules regarding lethal force. You shouldn't be able to shoot and kill an unarmed civilian even if they are charging you. Police are trained, use the training to overpower him or use less than lethal tactics to stop him. The firearm should only be used if the suspect has a weapon of some kind in his hand

So... If a 5'9 150 lb officer is being charged by a 6'5 250 lb guy, he should just get beaten to death or knocked out and shot with his own gun?

No. All of that. Just no.
What I think we need is a civilian review board which processes excessive force complaint in situations like this Michael Brown. It needs to be separate from the police.

sounds like the 5'9 150 officer should hit the gym.

cameras plus a review board would be a good thing in cases like this.
IMO it would show the cop was mostly correct in this case vs brown. You might be able to point some of his handling of the suspect before the shooting as questionable but in the end probably justify putting brown down.

I don't think it would hurt to review Missouri law with respect to justifiable force either, even if it doesn't apply in this case. The way I read the law regarding force for police, even if he had shot in the back, he could have been just fine. I don't like that. I think that law Needs to be reviewed.

Same size guy as Brown and a female officer my size? I'm 5'6 and weigh 125. Should she not pull her weapon, or should she take the arse beating that's going to come?
