Too many 4 man fronts that Pruitt is likely to run before LC sees time as an OLB in the 3-4.
The 4 man front will most likely be one of our OLBs (the Jack) with his hand down at the line of scrimmage. I wouldn't be surprised if they go with 2 DT and the 2 OLBs as DEs a lot.

nothing official yet, but I would be surprised if Carter hasn't already beat him out. Carter's going to play this year and play a lot. He's an elite athlete, which is something UGA doesn't have enough of on D

Don't see this...without injury.
Why not? Floyd played as a freshman last year. Made several big plays early on. He didn't redshirt and it was his first year in the system.

Zo will see the field plenty this year

I know Pruitt talked about maintaining the 3-4 but I believe that was just to keep the players or fanbase from freaking out.

I think he's also willing to work in anyway best suits the personnel he has so my guess is his defense in 2014 will not be the same in 2015-16 or whatever until he leaves.

His nickname was Zo during recruiting.
He will see the field plenty, could a Floydish type freshman year.

He was a prep school player. He was at Hargrave for a semester

Yeah I believe Pruitt will run whatever gets his best players on the field.

I hope thats true, but don't believe anything like this yet....wish there was a way to judge this unbiasedly, because I would bet against it...with a fair bit of money. However, doesn't really matter, we will put the best players on the field whether it be 1st or 3rd string and filling in for those that are injured. A "good bit of time" is easy to say now about a freshman....
what does that really mean to you clowns professing he will see "plenty of time" or "plenty of situations" or "play a lot?"
Assuming our starting 4 are not sitting out for injury, you think he plays more than 30% of the plays per game (meaningful minutes and not mop-up)? Because that to me what constitute a lot.....

That he will rotate into the game on meaningful downs (especially 3rd and long situations). He won't start over Floyd or Jenkins, but there could be some packages where they are on the field together.

Depends on the opponent's offensive style as to how many downs exactly. He'll play more against high volume passing teams, imo. Meaningful minutes really has nothing to do with a percentage though. If a guy only plays 5 plays, but they all happened in the fourth quarter of a tie game, those were meaningful snaps, not mop-up time.
Mop-up time happens after the game has been decided, not a set %. Carter's not only going to play when we're up 50.

I will go out on a limb and say he is the 3rd option after Floyd and Jenkins. Basing that completely on gut feeling. IT may be right, but I don't think so.

I believe he is absolutely the 3rd guy, I think he'll get the into the rotation the same way Aldon smith did his rookie year in SF

Prep school =/= JUCO
He was still considered a true freshman.

I would guess Carter is the 4th or 5th OLB off the bench right now. Maybe even 3rd.

#2 OLB Bellamy is on 2 game suspension so wouldn't that put Leo alot closer to the action? That's what I think.
Also, a guy at work is friends with his family and his family calls him Leo, not Zo.
Mama call the boy Leo that's what I call him.*

I'm gonna call him whatever the hell makes him have 20+ tfl and 8+ sacks.
But Zo would fly out of my mouth more, unless he made a Gurley type statement about his nickname.

I think Leo is first round draft material.

Floyd played some ILB yesterday. The two other OLBs on the field were Lo Carter and Jenkins
