Actually the sorority in question pledged two african-american girls. I would say the racist snapchat was the doings of one girl.
Your posting it on here is nothing but hateful.
I think it shows that despite the Sororities trying to put things off on interference from alumnae last year that the problem is still there and it's pretty major. I was willing to buy that crusty old white people were the issue given how powerful the Greek system is at Bama and how important it is to your campus but I was probably being rather naive about that since Greek/non-Greek stuff just doesn't matter much at UT and certainly not at the level it does to UA, OM, AU etc. Sure what was said is embarrassing in the sense that these are current Bama students and therefore associated with your school but bringing it up isn't hateful (whoever wrote that text was hateful) and you can't fix problems you're in denial of or don't know exist.
If nothing else this shows that current students not just anonymous old alums in the UA Greek system still have some soul searching and work to do. Acknowledging that is the first step to making genuine progress. You can't have open dialogue or change without it.

damn you would have thought after the shite last year and the sororities, they would be watching what they do a little bit closer
Old habits are hard to break.

It's hard to believe it got past the sorority, the school administration and the media if it was all a big lie; seems like all three would have done their due diligence in confirming it before making any statement.
If it isn't true I hope those girls go after whoever did it with a vengeance. If it is true, it still doesn't reflect on Bama IMO; just the girls.

Technically it's a true statement, so what's the big deal?

Maybe this is a lesson learned by these kids (my daughter received a bid Saturday at Bama) that they need to be more careful about what kind of crap they put out there for the world to see. Everybody's watching!

OP needs to edit the title to say it was photo-shopped. That's pitiful that Chi O national has already kicked her out of the sorority and issued a statement and the university has sent out a statement saying they will investigate and levy punishment.

I guess they had too much Bama in them

DJ Fluker's twitter account was hacked, too.

I would sue the shite out of the University of Alabama and Chi O sorority for the actions they took before fully investigating the incident. Both issued public statements either implying or outright calling the girls in the photo's racist. Once their names come out, and they will, the top google search for their name will be an association with racism, thereby severely and permanently damaging their educational and professional futures. UA and Chi O need to publicly apologize very quickly for what they irresponsibly did to these girls.

I believe that the girl used "ninja", but I also think she was still using it as a racial slur.

What happened to "a private club should be able to do what ever they want" schtick we heard last time this crap came to light?

Look again. It was photoshopped by replacing "nj" with "gg." The left g is larger than the right one.
