We didn't quite run out in Tuscaloosa one hot Saturday but it was being sold so fast that they were not cold in the second half. It is damn hot in the SEC in September. The worst that I remember was Penn State, must have been 95 all day and two small showers made it worse. 8PM in the stadium, still sweating. Was miserable.

I agree. The previous poster seemed to somewhat imply that the man having a heart attack and WB running out of water were somehow related. I feel certain if I needed water badly enough I would just drink it out the sink before I had a heat stroke.

Dude, you are in a fair ground, it's not the finest tailgating.
It's open areas with 20 ft bamboo pools with Carolina flags flying.
The only cool thing about the experience like I mentioned earlier is the cockaboose.
And yes, I have been twice, 2004 and 2008.
Both wins mind you. And yes, water in the stadium was gone by the 4th qtr. coke products is all they were serving.

They have done A LOT since you were last there to enhance the tailgating. That was 6 years ago man.

I saw your buddy's pic on page 2... A couple of new town halls and some newly planted skinny trees.

That running out of water crap is the biggest load of shite I've ever heard of.

You may not have been old enough to remember.
Point I am making is that it's hot due to lack of shade in the majority of the tailgating, it's a fair ground.
#2, tickets are generally scarce because not many fans willing to stay back and watch the game on tv, plus it's a rivalry game.

You made me do it...
"Chelsea Welch, a third-year early childhood education student, described unusually long lines at the concession stands near the student section and said several people required first-aid attention while waiting in line for water that was apparently running out of supply.
“They had just run out of water, so they were offering Powerade. [A worker] was having trouble opening water bottles, so he was just tossing them to the side,” Welch said. “We want to support our team, but it’s hard to when the heat is so extreme that we can barely stand up, which is honestly how I felt."

How much will tickets be going for? Stubhub has them for 140 right now and prices usually drop. My buddy dropped out of the trip but I might still go if I can get tickets that don't break the bank.

I would expect around $100+
If you can get $60-80, I would take it.
If we beat Clemson, don't expect much under $100, if at all.

So you don't know jack shite.
We've renovated the fair grounds and the Old Farmers Market and both are fantastic. The ETV lot has been renovated as well and once we get the plaza down around the stadium you'd think it was a different location if you came back for the game in '16

That is from the game in 2012 you dipshit.
And that was against ECU, the only other game that might have been hotter than 08 UGA that I've been to
quote:
The stadium did not run out of water, Burke said, though there were some “hardware issues” at some of the concession stands during the ECU game. He also noted that upon entering the stadium, fans are permitted to bring in one sealed bottle of water each.
Thats from the same link you provided.
Go frick yourself

Thats the point, it happens there, dumb a$$.
So, go frick yourself.
Your stadium and your tailgating sucks, deal with it.

Take the article and break it down how you want, when you are in line, that stuff goes on.
Maybe they did have water, but they weren't selling it in the 4th qtr.
So, F'off

At least you won't be getting a public drinking ticket like you will in Athens if you're not in the right spot. Oh yeah, we don't have a mountain of trash after we leave either.

I talked to one of your old QB during the SEC championship game in 2010 and he was telling me his family owned a tailgate spot near the stadium. Talked like these spots do not come up for sale very often. How big of an area is it where people own individual tailgate spots? That would be cool to have a spot that you could pass down from generation to generation.
The guys name was Kyle don't remember his last name but he played for Lou Holtz. His dad was also there and he played on South Carolina's team when they won an ACC championship. Really nice guys and enjoyed talking to them.
