I just don't understand why everyone is just SO SURE that Coker is just going to step right in and the offense won't miss a beat

Well it has to do with a few things:

1. Weak defenses across the board

2. OL returns three starters and adds a guy in Cam Robinson who is just as talented as any OL in the league, but is inexperienced.

3. Cooper/White/Jones/Howard/Foster/Black/Yeldon/Drake/Henry

4. Kiffin is changing more than people think. Last year certain guys always ran certain routes, and AJ was just trying to see who could get open first. This year the gameplan is to get playmakers into space and run a lot of packages/plays designed to get them the ball in certain areas depending on the look the defense gives. We'll create mismatches instead of just hoping we get them. Maybe that'll succeed, maybe it won't. It is hard to tell when Kiffin is involved.

No one with half a brain is claiming Coker is gonna win the Maxwell or be the Heisman runner up, but he'd have to really suck to fail with the talent Bama has on offense.

SO SURE? EVERYONE?

Generalize much? I have no idea what to expect. I hope he's not a disaster. He's a 3 star recruit who couldn't win the position at another school--albeit a good one. And I thought AU--not known for their stellar defense exactly--bowed up SEC style and made him (Winston) look ordinary and should have beaten them.

So I just hope he's serviceable. If he is, we should win a butt full of games. If he's good or above average, I like our chances to make the playoff.
