5 sec championships in a row for the west is more than "a little luck". Has been outright dominance.
East won 6 in a row since 1992 expansion...... What was the regular season record last year of east vs west?

agree
urban made it close again for a window. coaching is generally the answer - with saban, miles, and zahn i think the west is better until there is turnover in the west or upgrades in the east

The SEC East is boring, rusted, and decaying. It isn't coming back because there isn't the population or talent-base that exists in the SEC West. People think of the SEC, they think of Alabama, Auburn, LSU. Nobody thinks of South Carolina.
Do you think that after being in to conference for only 3 years that A&M pops to the forefront of their minds? No.
Actually, if you want to base it off population base, the SEC east states are growing faster than the SEC west state, with Texas being the exception. However, Texas has the "illegal" immigrant issue that skews it's numbers.

But don't let those pesky "facts" get in the way of your hyperbole.

Did I once mention A&M? No. Your strawman fails.

State of Alabama SEC championships in the last 10 years = 5
Number of SEC east SEC championships in the last 10 years = 3
State of Alabama >>> The SEC East
Number of SEC east SEC championships in the last 10 years = 3
State of Alabama >>> The SEC East

And yet an East team has won the most SECCGs.

I am confused. Are we talking about the past again now?

The man has had the longest run of any show in TV history. You have to figure he good for a gif or two.

Living outside of the SEC conference footprint, when folks say "SEC football" they think of Alabama, Auburn, UGA, LSU, Florida, USC (Clowney) and A&M (Johnny football). (at least around here and list is roughly in order)
Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Vandy, Tennessee, Arky, Kentucky and Missou are the "forgotten" teams around here.

Not really. If UF is the only program in their state, I'd agree that the East has a chance. But Y'all have to compete with FSU and everyone else cherry picking talent.
LSU doesn't have to worry about that because they have the state on lock-down (except for Speedy). Alabama and Auburn recruit themselves at this point.
And Texas A&M, well,

so florida and Georgia don't have the talent or population? you are really misinformed and have no idea what your are talking about. have you ever been out of the state of texas?

No, I haven't. Don't see how that's relevant.

Georgia maybe, but that's it. Florida is too saturated with teams and they lose kids constantly to OOS programs. Maybe if they got it turned around and somehow got rid of FSU...

There's more than enough talent in Florida to sustain multiple programs, just like there is in Texas.
You can't compare Louisiana and Florida. Florida is four times the size of Louisiana. Don't throw some "per capita Louisiana produces the best talent" bullshite at me either because it'll be falling on deaf ears.

Georgia and Florida have been key contributors in this run of dominance that the SECW is on. If it wasn't for all the best players in Georgia and Florida signing with Alabama and Auburn every year, the west wouldn't be nearly as strong.
